Man dead after stabbing in West Springfield

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are investigating a stabbing in West Springfield where a man was killed Saturday evening.

According to West Springfield Police, officers were called to the area of ​​Amostown Road and Kings Highway for reports of a stabbing. In the area, police located a victim of the incident and began first aid and CPR.

The man was transported to Baystate Medical Center for his injuries, but died.

West Springfield Police and the Hampden County Prosecutor are investigating the incident. Police added that there was no threat to the public.
