Man convicted of murdering woman at Embassy Suites near PDX

A Multnomah County judge found Ramond Andrew Lawrence guilty of murdering Teonjenique Elizabeth Lashay Hudson Howard.

PORTLAND, Ore. — A man was found guilty by a Multnomah County judge in the March 2023 fatal shooting of a woman at the Embassy Suites near Portland International Airport, the District Attorney's Office reported Friday. Multnomah County.

Judge Benjamin Souede found Ramond Andrew Lawrence, 33, guilty of three counts – first-degree murder with a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon with a firearm and felon in possession of a weapon on fire – for the fatal shooting of a 24-year-old. Lawrence's sentencing is scheduled for August 30.

On March 15, officers from the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) and Portland Harbor Police responded around 2:45 a.m. to the hotel, located near Northeast 82nd Way and Airport Way. They found two people, a man and a woman, who had been shot. Two other people, including a security guard, were injured and taken to hospital. Their lives are not in danger.

The name of the second person shot and killed is Adrian Daeshawn Granville. On August 2, 2023, in a press release announcing the grand jury indictment of Lawrence, the prosecutor's office reported that the investigation “regarding the second victim” was ongoing. KGW contacted the prosecutor's office Friday morning for an update on a case involving Granville's death, but has not yet received a response.
