Man charged with attempted murder after adoptive mother and brother stabbed

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A Cincinnati man is facing attempted murder charges after being accused of stabbing his adoptive mother and brother multiple times.

Travis Breedlove, 22, was charged last week with attempted murder, felonious assault and kidnapping for attacking Sara Hall and her 18-year-old son in April.

“He stabbed me in the eye, in the face, in the nose and in the top of my head four times,” Hall said in an interview in April. “He stabbed me in the upper shoulder and upper back twice. »

Cincinnati police arrested Breedlove on June 14. Hall said he called and threatened her just a day or two before his arrest.

“He said you wouldn’t survive past the weekend,” Hall said.

Hall said the situation made her conflicted and questioning why the attack happened.

“How can you stop loving someone you raised? asked Hall. “How can you stop loving someone you love deeply from the bottom of your heart? I can't say it won't hurt me when I hear his sentence. I'm not going to say it won't hurt me during the trial. »

Hall said she has spoken with counselors several times since the attack. She said her 18-year-old son regularly had nightmares. She said her children have also stopped doing some of their favorite activities like gymnastics or boxing.

Breedlove is incarcerated in the Hamilton County Jail on $1 million bond. He is due in court on July 3.
