Man charged after stabbing on street

A 26-year-old man has been charged with a stabbing on High Street in Lincoln, police said.

Lincolnshire Police said a man in his 20s was found with a stomach injury at Merkur Slots just after 10.45am BST on Thursday.

The victim was taken to hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police said a man had been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Police said the man had been remanded in custody and would appear at Lincoln Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
