Man arrested, two people injured after stabbing in Virginia

Police are investigating a double stabbing in Virginia that occurred over the weekend.

The release says officers responded around 2:30 a.m. Sunday to the 200 block of Chestnut Street.

They found an injured man and woman. Crews took them to Virginia Hospital.

Investigators say the woman was released with non-life-threatening injuries. The man remains hospitalized, but is considered stable.

The suspect, aged 48, is incarcerated in Virginia.

A bloody knife was found in the bathroom of the Rainy Lake Saloon.

The investigation is ongoing.
