Man arrested in fatal Westminster shooting: police

DENVER (KDVR) — A 37-year-old man was arrested Saturday after a woman died from a gunshot wound.

Jesse Aaron Gladney was taken to the Adams County Detention Center.

Saturday around 8 p.m., Westminster Police received a call about a possible physical domestic violence incident in the 12000 block of Melody Drive.

The investigator provided a description of the suspect vehicle, which left the scene before police arrived on scene. The information was passed on to other nearby agencies.

Shortly thereafter, the Thornton Police Department received a call from the area of ​​12000 Colorado Boulevard. It involved a woman who was shot in a car that matched the description of the original Westminster incident.

Both police agencies attempted to locate the car, but were unsuccessful.

Later, an area hospital reported a woman with a gunshot wound. Officers went to the hospital and learned that the woman had died from her injuries.

The police have been in contact with the driver of the car.

Gladney was arrested for first degree murder.
