Man arrested for suspected hit-and-run in Temecula

A 36-year-old man was arrested for a suspected hit-and-run and driving under the influence that left four people with moderate to serious injuries in Temecula, authorities said Monday.

Matthew Thomas Jackson of Temecula was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta with bail set at $500,000.

The crash was reported at 7:02 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Butterfield Stage Road and Channel Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
