According to court documents, a Taney County deputy was dispatched to the scene of the bar for an assault involving a stabbing. When the officer arrived, they found a victim with a cut about six inches long on his left leg, deep enough to expose bone.

The victim told investigators that Cancel-Ramos pushed him and tried to hit him. After Cancel-Ramos missed his punch, the victim hit Cancel-Ramos in the face with a closed fist. At that point, Cancel-Ramos was escorted out of the business and into the parking lot. The victim then went to the terrace of the establishment and Cancel-Ramos sneaked up on her and cut her leg.

A witness, who said she escorted Cancel-Ramos out of the business, told police she saw the stabbing attack take place.

Video surveillance confirmed the accounts of the victim and the witness.

Police were able to find Cancel-Ramos in the vehicle where he was observed leaving the crime scene. He was wearing clothing seen in the surveillance video and the brown T-shirt he was wearing contained multiple bloodstains. He was taken into custody and placed in the back cage of a patrol car.

Cancel-Ramos was able to escape from the rear of the vehicle and flee the scene. Officers discovered the caged area of ​​the patrol car was left with the door open and the window rolled down. A Branson Police Department K9 arrived on scene and was able to track down Cancel-Ramos, who was again taken into custody. While in custody, he was transported to Cox Medical Center in Branson for treatment of an injured finger.

Investigators say Cancel-Ramos told them he did not live at the listed address and would not say where he lived. After being cleared by medical personnel, he was transported to the Taney County Jail.

The assault charge is a class B felony, meaning if convicted he could face five to 15 years in prison. However, this is not the only Class B felony Cancel-Ramos faces in Taney County.

Court documents state that on February 5, 2024, Branson police were called to the Tanger Outlet Mall in reference to an unconscious man in the men's restroom.

While emergency responders were carrying out rescue measures on Cancel-Ramos, a second person repeatedly entered the toilet in an attempt to get to Cancel-Ramos, and witnesses said they believed that this person had a personal relationship with him.

Police found a small bag containing a blue powder-like substance, suspected to be fentanyl, inside a black bag. Police also found two pieces of aluminum foil and a paper straw with the end burned.

After Cancel-Ramos was revived, he demanded that a child at the scene be taken with him to the hospital and that police return the black bag that Cancel-Ramos said contained “diapers and wipes” for the child. Officers told Cancel-Ramos that he overdosed on a substance he was storing with items he planned to use on the child's bare skin.

Cancel-Ramos disagreed with the officer's decision not to allow the child to accompany him to the hospital, and officers said Cancel-Ramos showed “little to no respect » for the safety of the child and did not want to provide information about the child's mother. child.

A test by the Missouri State Laboratory confirmed the blue powder was fentanyl.

Cancel-Ramos was charged with second-degree drug trafficking, a class B felony.

Cancel-Ramos is being held in the Taney County Jail without bond for the assault. His next hearings have not yet been scheduled.
