This is exactly the type of person I don't want living in my county. If you choose to assault someone, especially a pregnant person, you have no place here. Beyond this cowardly attack, driving around with so much poison in Charlotte County, it's clear you don't care about anyone but yourself. The consequences are real and long overdue – but his time is up.

Sheriff Bill Prummell

Thomas Barnicle was transported to the Charlotte County Jail and charged with the following counts.

  • Cocaine – Trafficking of more than 28 grams and less than 150 kg
