Man arrested for armed carjacking and shooting outside South Nashville, Tennessee McDonald's

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A man wanted in connection with an armed carjacking at a South Nashville McDonald’s has been arrested and charged with several crimes.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said Graham, 23, of Dew Street, Ontario, was charged with attempted murder, carjacking, attempted carjacking, aggravated assault and multiple gun crimes for his actions during an April 17 carjacking.


According to police, shortly after 10:30 p.m. that evening, Graham allegedly approached a 41-year-old man who was in line at the McDonald's located in the 2200 block of Nolensville Pike. Graham, who was armed with a gun, approached the man on the driver's side of his vehicle and attempted to carjack him.

As the man tried to run away, he was shot in the face. He then drove around the parking lot three times and saw Graham confronting a 39-year-old woman in his Nissan Cube parked in the McDonald's parking lot, prompting him to drive his vehicle at Graham in an attempt to save the woman, according to investigators. .

Police said the man's vehicle struck the Cube, causing significant damage to the driver's side door. Graham, meanwhile, was knocked down, got up and pulled the woman out of the Cube. He then got into the Woman's Cube and left.

The woman was not injured, while the man was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. Investigators said the Cube was found the next day on Louise Drive.

On Wednesday, June 26, officers from MNPD's East Precinct were dispatched to the area of ​​South 6th Street and Shelby Avenue for a report of a person, identified as Graham, operating a stolen electric bicycle. Graham tried to flee, but was quickly arrested.
