Man arrested and charged in connection with Apopka bank robberies – WFTV

APOPKA, Fla. — A man is behind bars, accused of two bank robberies in Orange County.

After days of investigation, the Apopka Police Department arrested Taylor Cale Mizelle, 45, who made his first appearance before an Orange County judge on Saturday.

Police say they were able to identify the suspect after his alleged theft on May 20.

The crime occurred on Fifth Third Bank on South Orange Blossom Trail.

After questioning the suspect, detectives said the man confessed to another robbery, also at a Fifth Third Bank on Rock Springs Road.

This crime occurred on May 8, around 12:40 p.m. Police say the suspect went behind the counter, took money, then left.

Channel 9 reached out to Fifth Third Bank for comment on the arrest but did not receive a response.

The man was charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of armed robbery.
