GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Clear Springs man is facing charges of reckless endangerment and driving while intoxicated after sheriff's deputies say he threatened people and fired a gun.

Terry Delk, 62, of the Clear Springs area, faces two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment and one count of first-degree drunken driving.

Graves County Sheriff's deputies responded to an address on KY-301 at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, June 30 for a report of an armed person making threats and firing a gun.

The caller also said the suspect allegedly pointed a gun at people attending a Fourth of July celebration in the area.

Deputies spoke to multiple witnesses and were told that a man came to the property where the celebration was taking place, pointed a handgun at two people and told them that if they didn't stop shooting fireworks, he would come back.

Deputies say the man left the scene and fled in a car.

Terry Delk has been identified as a suspect.

Deputies contacted Delk at his home where they said he again displayed a firearm to law enforcement upon arrival.

Delk was taken into custody.

Sheriff's deputies say Delk was drunk and angry because of the fireworks.

The lead investigator on this case is Deputy Tony Cornwell. He was assisted by Sergeant Garret Clark, Deputy Austin Caldwell and the Kentucky State Police.
