Man arrested after running over woman with truck, seriously injuring her





Cherokee Village, AR. – On May 29, 2024, a man was arrested after knocking over a woman and seriously injuring her.

The Cherokee Village Police Department was dispatched to a residence after receiving a call regarding a woman who had been hit by a vehicle and seriously injured. When they arrived on scene, the caller and the witness told the officer that a red truck had pulled into the driveway and the people in the vehicle had gotten out of the truck. When she opened the garage door, she identified the man as Justin Hale, 25, when he jumped into the truck and sped away. As he left, he knocked down a female. They found the woman seriously injured and she was flown to the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Little Rock for treatment.

Later, Hale's vehicle was abandoned at the residence on Nine Mile Ridge Road. He was eventually found and arrested at the Ponderosa Motel around 11 p.m. and taken to the Sharp County Detention Center.

He is currently charged with aggravated assault, first degree battery and leaving the scene of an accident with injury.
