Man apprehended by police in southern Idaho after being stabbed twice | Idaho

NAMPA – At approximately 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Nampa dispatchers received a call from a staff member at a local hospital reporting that two people had arrived at the emergency department with stab wounds.

According to Nampa police, officers went to the hospital and learned from one of the victims that they knew the suspect. The incident occurred in the 800 block of 11th Avenue North in Nampa.

Officers attended and found evidence suggesting a stabbing. Police also located the suspect, as described by the victims, still in the area.

Gavin Thomas Freeman, 34, of Caldwell, was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Canyon County Jail on two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon enhancement.

Nampa Police detectives and NPD crime scene personnel assisted in the initial investigation. Detectives believe this is an isolated incident.
