Man and woman killed by train in Van Nuys identified

A man and woman who were killed when they were struck by an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train in Van Nuys were identified Wednesday.

Bunny Martinez, 39, and Jessie Lopez, 26, were identified as victims of the collision by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office.

The crash was reported at 9:29 p.m. Sunday, east of 7600 Woodman Ave., according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
