Man allegedly armed with knife killed by Fullerton police

A man who allegedly ran toward officers with a gun in each hand was fatally shot by police in Fullerton Saturday morning, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of East Imperial Highway around 5 a.m. in response to a 911 call of a man armed with knives and threatening people, according to Kristy Wells of the Fullerton Police Department.

“The person who reported the call told the operator that he had been the victim of a gun being brandished and that they had to dispatch several police officers due to the man's dangerous behavior,” Wells wrote in a statement .
