Man accused of stabbing his father

HONESDALE, WAYNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A man is facing charges after police say he stabbed his father three times.

Police were called to a Honesdale neighborhood around 10 a.m. Friday after reports that a man had been stabbed by his son.

Police said they learned that Anthony Casale allegedly stabbed his father three times and that when police arrived at his home, he refused to come out for 45 minutes. Eventually, Casale surrounded himself and was arrested.

Casale told police his father came to his house and felt threatened, leading Casale to stab his father with a kitchen knife, as stated in the affidavit.

The victim was taken to Scranton CMC for a punctured lung and three stab wounds to the chest.

Casale was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
