Man accused of stabbing at Park City Diner

LANCASTER, Pa. — Police have charged a Lancaster man with aggravated assault after allegedly cutting a man's face at the Park City Diner Monday night.

Ahmed Fayed, 24, is also charged with possession of an instrument of crime in connection with the incident at 6:02 p.m. Monday at the restaurant, according to Manheim Township police.

The victim told police that Fayed entered the restaurant, approached him behind the counter and punched him in the face. Police said the victim suffered a 5-inch laceration from his left ear to below his nose, which required stitches.

Fayed allegedly admitted to slashing the victim before calling 911 to tell authorities, “Mission is complete,” police said. He also admitted to entering the restaurant with the intention of “branding” the victim with his knife, according to police.

Fayed was arraigned on these charges and remanded to the Lancaster County Jail after failing to post $250,000 bail. Court records show a preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 13.
