PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WLNE) — A man accused of stabbing incidents in Braintree and Plymouth has been sent for further mental health evaluation.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said a court clinician recommended that Jared Ravizza, 26, who was also indicted in connection with a murder in Connecticut, be evaluated for competency and criminal liability.

Officials said Ravizza will be held without bail at Bridgewater State Hospital and evaluated over the next 20 days.

Ravizza is accused of stabbing four girls at a movie theater in Braintree on Saturday before stabbing two workers at a McDonald's in Plymouth.

All six victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The Connecticut State Police Department announced Tuesday morning that Ravizza had been identified as one of the suspects in a homicide that occurred in Deep River on Saturday.

Officers responded to a disturbance at a residence on Maritone Lane in Deep River, where they found an injured man who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Connecticut State Police said personal items belonging to Ravizza were found and witnesses gave a description consistent with Ravizza's.

The Massachusetts State Police Department notified Connecticut police that Ravizza had been arrested in Sandwich in connection with alleged crimes in Braintree and Plymouth.

Ravizza faces various charges, including armed assault with intent to kill, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and one count of indecent assault.

Officials said his charges in the Connecticut incident were pending as of Tuesday morning.
