Man, 28, stabbed to death in South Syracuse identified

Syracuse, N.Y. — A 28-year-old man stabbed to death Saturday morning in south Syracuse has been identified, police said.

The man killed was Willy Stridiron, according to a statement released Monday by Syracuse police.

At 2:38 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue for a stabbing, police said.

Officers found Stridiron unconscious and not breathing, police said. Efforts were made to save the man, but he was pronounced dead on the spot, they said.

Syracuse police have released no further details about the attack.
