Maine State Police continue search for Attiin Shaw, missing since 2021

(WAGM)– Maine State Major Crime Police were on scene at the last known residence of missing Washburn resident Attiin Shaw Friday afternoon. A state police spokesperson said law enforcement was on scene Friday to “follow up on their last search” in February. Moss says Maine State Police were not looking for anything specific and there have been no new developments. The 36-year-old mother of four is originally from Indonesia and moved to Washburn in 2020 with her children and husband, Michael Shaw. Attiin Shaw was reportedly last heard from around September 2021. Shaw is described as 4′7″ tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She has a distinctive birthmark on the top of her nose. According to social media posts aimed at drawing attention to the case, she was reported missing a few weeks later by her husband to the Washburn Police Department at the request of her family in Indonesia after they had not news from her. Maine State Police became involved in the case in early 2023 and say there is no indication Shaw lives anywhere else. According to officials, their investigation did not reveal any alternative addresses. On February 13 and 14, 2024, troopers, evidence technicians and detectives from the Major Crimes Unit North were at Shaw's residence on Washburn Road as part of their investigation.
