Maine Police Release Lewiston Shooting Investigation Documents

Maine State Police released more than 3,000 pages of investigative documents Friday related to the Lewiston shooting and its response. A total of 18 people were killed and 13 others injured in the shooting. The documents released early this afternoon follow a series of Freedom of Access Act requests from 8 investigators and constitute the first public release of investigative documents. The documents include reports from the Maine State Police as well as other law enforcement agencies that assisted in both the response and investigation. Many documents have been heavily redacted. The release includes an After Action Report (AAR) from the Maine State Police Tactical Team and details some issues related to communication and response.
