Love triangle: Love triangle: a teenager and two minors kill a goon at MIDC | Nagpur News

Nagpur: The MIDC police arrested a teenager and arrested two minors for allegedly killing a goon on Saturday evening in Bhim Nagar in front of Savitribai Phule Anganwadi. The murder was the result of a love triangle, cops said. The deceased, 24-year-old Badal Nimbarte, was a resident of Bhim Nagar, while the arrested accused is 19-year-old Raj Patil. Another accused, Ganga Pande, 22, is on the run while police suspect the involvement of a fifth accused. The deceased and the accused are from the same region. Nimbarte, a columnist, reportedly proposed to Patil's girlfriend last year, but his proposal was turned down, leading to enmity between the duo. An offense was also registered against Patil who was looking for Nimbarte to settle scores. On Saturday evening, Patil called Nimbarte and asked him to come and discuss the matter. When Nimbarte went to meet Patil, he was attacked by 4-5 people with knives and iron bars. Nimbarte died after sustaining several injuries, after which the accused fled the scene. Meanwhile, MIDC police reached the spot and sent Nimbarte to the hospital where he was pronounced brought dead. The cops found that Nimbarte had received a call from Patil, after which they detected the accused. They later found the accused after one of them went to hospital after suffering a cut during the fight. After one accused was arrested, the cops managed to nab two others. On Sunday, the police presented the two minors before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB). Patil was arrested late in the evening and will be produced before the court on Monday. Furthermore, sources indicated that one of the minors involved in the incident had a criminal record. In recent months, incidents of assassinations of criminals by their rivals have been reported in many regions. Police services have been widely criticized for failing to prevent such incidents. After a brief lull, two murders in two days once again shook the city.
