Looking for a BBC presenter on the Greek island of Symi

UPDATE: Michael Mosley remains at the center of a search and rescue operation on the Greek island of Symi after the BBC presenter went missing on Wednesday. Divers joined the search on Friday, while CCTV is looking for any sign of Mosley.

PREVIOUS: Michael Mosley, prolific BBC science and lifestyle presenter, has disappeared on the Greek island of Symi.

The daily mailfor whom Mosley works as a columnist, was among the British publications reporting the doctor's disappearance after he went hiking on Wednesday.

On the Friends of Symi Facebook group, contributor Adriana Shum wrote that Mosley left for a walk from St Nicholas Beach yesterday at 1:30 p.m. local time.

In an update released Thursday, Shum said a search and rescue team had been dispatched from Athens, equipped with drones and other tools.

Mosley has presented shows for the BBC for over 16 years, often putting his own body on the line for on-screen experiments. He helped create the intermittent fasting diet in Eat, fast and live longer.
