LONG BEACH — A Long Beach man was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault involving a girl and two women, and authorities Wednesday urged other possible victims to contact detectives.

Silas Topzand, 25, a music teacher, was arrested June 6 in San Pedro, according to Long Beach police. The police published his photo on social networks and can be viewed here.

Topzand was arrested on suspicion of lewd/lascivious acts with a child, indecent exposure and on a warrant, and bail was set at $150,000, police said. He was released on bail June 11, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

LBPD detectives say Topzand was “responsible for multiple indecent exposure incidents and believe there may be additional victims.”

“In October 2023, a minor victim reported incidents of indecent exposure that occurred in February and March 2022,” a statement from the LBPD said. “During their investigation, child and elder abuse detectives identified Silas Topzand… as the suspect responsible for the incidents against the juvenile. »

According to police, detectives had previously identified Topzand as a suspect in the following incidents, for which there was an active arrest warrant: – At Cherry Avenue and Second Street in September 2021, indecent assault of a woman. – On Lakewood Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway in January 2022, indecent exposure against a woman.

The case has been submitted to the city prosecutor's office for review, police said.

Detectives believe there may be unreported incidents and urged any potential victims to contact the Child and Elder Abuse Unit at 562-570-7321. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 800-222-TIPS or through the website www.lacrimestoppers.org.
