NEW BLAINE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Logan County Sheriff's Office said they received a call Wednesday afternoon about a man driving past a home and shooting at a woman's vehicle, according to a social media post.

LCSO said the incident happened on Springlake Road in New Blaine in eastern Logan County.

The message states that the suspect, who lives in the Dardanelles area, fled the scene.

The victim spoke with police and said an acquaintance was angry about a theft report she made about him in Pope County.

She said he decided to get revenge by shooting her while she was visiting a residence in Logan County, according to the post. His vehicle was struck, but no one at the scene was injured.

LCSO criminal investigators and an Arkansas State Police special agent interviewed witnesses and found several shotgun shell casings at the scene.

The department searched the area and notified the Yell County Sheriff's Office, the Dardanelles Police Department and Pope County authorities. The suspect has not been found.

LCSO said they believe this was an isolated incident and there is no connection between this and the murder suspect associated with the Oklahoma homicides.
