Local grand jury returns indictments for endangerment, drug trafficking | News Radio 12:30/99.3 FM | Hopkinsville News Leader

A Christian County grand jury issued indictments Friday for child abuse, drug trafficking, endangerment and sex crimes.

Eglacia Hancock, 33, of Hopkinsville, was charged with second-degree criminal abuse of a child under 12 for reported instances of child abuse between March and April.

Angel Gonzalez, 40, of Hopkinsville, was charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 years of age or younger and second-degree strangulation for an abuse incident reported in April.

Jordan Houchens, 19 of Hopkinsville, was charged with first-degree rape and first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor after Hopkinsville police executed a search warrant at a residence on North McPherson Avenue on April 4.

Stephen Bussell, 22 of Hopkinsville, was charged with three counts of first-degree complicity to assault, seven counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence in connection with a drive-by shooting in April on West 17.th Street. The shooting reportedly left three minors and an adult injured by gunfire.

Cole Lamonte, 30 of Jackson, Tennessee, was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree fleeing or eluding police, reckless driving, improper passing, two counts of failure to obey a stop sign, speeding and failure to wear a seat. belt as part of a lawsuit in April.

Levi Banks, 23 of Clarksville, was charged with first-degree fleeing or eluding police, two counts of failing to obey a stop sign, speeding, having an expired license plate and failure to produce proof of automobile insurance in connection with a pursuit in early April.

As for drug crimes, Rashad Coker, 43 of Clarksville, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, driving of a vehicle with a suspended license, failure to signal and failure to obey a stop sign in connection with an incident that occurred on April 18. Coker was allegedly stopped for failing to use a turn signal and responding officers found him in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Jorge Morales, 34, of Clarksville, was reportedly in the vehicle with Coker and was arrested alongside him. Morales was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and failure to wear a seat belt after he was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana on April 18.
