LKPD detectives arrest man in connection with shooting death of teen in Lawrence

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) – The Lawrence Kansas Police Department has arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of a teenager that occurred Thursday, June 13 in Lawrence, Kan.

According to a post on the Lawrence Kansas Police Department Facebook page on Friday, June 14, detectives arrested Cir Allen Keith Glover, who is now in jail and facing a second-degree murder charge for the death of Isaiah Neal, 17 years old.

Lawrence Police Department officials said they received a tip that led them to Miami County. LKPD and the Miami County Sheriff's Office worked together through the night to follow up on leads and ensure the safety of everyone involved during Glover's arrest. Glover ultimately surrendered without incident.

The LKPD launched a location attempt Thursday evening, June 13, looking for Glover.

LKPD said officers were called just after 1:15 a.m. Thursday to 2406 Alabama in Lawrence, Kan. The first officers found the young man with multiple gunshot wounds and began lifesaving efforts until paramedics from Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical (LDCFM) arrived on scene.

LKPD officials said that at that point, additional officers began securing the scene as a number of witnesses and their family members began to gather. Investigators were called to the scene. LDCFM paramedics transported the victim to hospital where he later died.
