Livonia woman accused of dumping boyfriend, killing mother in house fire

DETROIT – A 31-year-old woman from Livonia faces murder charges in connection with a fatal fire on Detroit's east side.

Cinamon Charmaine Rigmaiden is accused of pouring an accelerant on the porch of a home on Seminole Street, just south of I-94, and setting it on fire just after 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3. Authorities said the house fire killed 53 people. Tina Dorrough, 1, and seriously injured a 57-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman. Rigmaiden reportedly recently broke up with Dorrough's son, who was not home at the time.

Medical personnel pronounced Dorrough dead at the scene.

The fire was extinguished by Detroit and Hamtramck firefighters.

Rigmaiden was arrested by the Livonia Police Department the day after the fire and turned over to the Detroit Police Department. She is expected to be arraigned after 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, on one count of murder, two counts of assault with intent to kill, three counts of first-degree arson and one count of third-degree arson degree.
