Little Rock police say 2 teens injured Friday in triple shooting near Fletcher Park

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock police say three people, including two teenagers, were injured in a shooting Friday night near a park.

Officials with the Little Rock Police Department said officers were called to the area of ​​901 South Woodrow Street, near Fletcher Park, just after 6 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.


As they headed toward the park, officers were informed that there were several gunshot victims at the scene. Officers said they found a person with a gunshot wound at the scene and were informed that two other victims, who had been shot, had been taken to a nearby hospital.

Investigators report that witnesses at the scene told police that three men, one of whom was described as large, began shooting from the corner of South Woodrow and Mayland Avenue. Officers said a search of that area revealed shell casings.

LRPD officials said dispatchers also received a call from another victim who was driving near the park. When officers spoke with this driver, they found evidence that his car had been struck by gunfire in the front bumper, a front tire and in the rear driver's side door.

Authorities said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
