Lawnmower Starts Grass Fire in San Joaquin County Field

Firefighters are cleaning up after a grass fire burned nearly an acre near Peltier Road in San Joaquin County Thursday afternoon. According to the Woodbridge Fire District, crews responded to the fire at Peltier and Thornton roads at 4:05 p.m. Officials said the fire was caused by sparks from a lawn mower while that she was mowing a field. No injuries were reported in the fire. Fire officials said the fire has been brought under control and traffic will be diverted as crews clean up. Check our live traffic map for updates.
