Disgraced child molester and sports doctor Larry Nassar relied on gangbangers for protection – paying them in cash and “sexual favors” – while he rotted in a Florida federal prison, a court alleges. detained.

Around June 2021, Nassar, 60, was seen entering a cell at the federal penitentiary in Sumter County, Florida, with Mexican gang members, according to Grace Pinson, an inmate who served time with Nassar at the prison high security.

The cell door was closed and the windows covered while the men were inside, which happens when inmates have sex or do drugs, Pinson told The Post in a telephone interview from Allenwood, in Pennsylvania, where the now transgender inmate is currently incarcerated. .

In Nassar's case, “it certainly wasn't for drugs,” she argued.

“Larry Nassar has decided. . . sucking dk is a better way. . . to stay alive,” said Pinson, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for sending a threatening letter to then-President George W. Bush in 2005.

The prisoner described Nassar, who sexually abused hundreds of gymnasts including Olympians Simone Biles and Gabby Douglas, as a “scared little church mouse” who only left his prison housing to visit chapel.

There, she chatted with him, particularly about his engaged muscles.

“He wished he didn’t need those guys,” she recalled Nassar telling him. “In some ways, what they expected of him was worse than the idea of ​​being stabbed and killed. »

During his five years at Coleman, Nassar allegedly paid “a few hundred dollars a month” to Mexican gang members for protection, Pinson alleged.

The inmate insisted she had heard about Nassar's protection from the gang members she hung out with in prison.

She claimed she also saw her cellmate's phone, which was used by the gangsters to manage drug deals and discuss other deals.

Pinson believes they were forcing Nassar to perform “sexual favors” as a reward for raping little girls – “to humiliate and degrade Larry Nassar.”

“Making Larry Nassar suck your dick in prison is a twisted way to repay him for what he did to these women.”

The paid protection, however, was not enough to protect Nassar from a near-fatal attack last year, when fellow inmate Shane McMillan repeatedly stabbed the serial sex offender in his cell in July after Nassar allegedly said he wanted to ogle the tennis players. at Wimbledon.

“You're not going to risk your life for Larry Nassar for a few hundred dollars,” Pinson joked about the guards hired by the dirty doctor.

The evil doctor has since been transferred to a federal prison in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.

Bureau of Prisons spokesman Scott Taylor declined to comment on Pinson's claims about Nassar.

Nassar declined an interview request.

Jose Rojas, the former president of Coleman's corrections officers' union who retired in December, questioned Pinson's history in prison, saying Nassar was held in an “abandonment” unit considered safer than the general population.

“It's one of those places, if you're an inmate, you want to go into this unit because everything is quiet,” Rojas said, adding that he thought he heard inmates talking about gangbangers leaning on Nassar.

For decades, the former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University sports doctor sexually abused more than 250 girls and women under the guise of providing them with medical treatment.

A slew of high-profile athletes, including Olympians Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney, helped bring down the deranged doctor by coming forward with their heartbreaking allegations of sexual abuse.

Nassar was sentenced to hundreds of years in prison after pleading guilty to sexual abuse of young athletes and possession of child pornography during three trials.
