Large Florida law enforcement effort to find missing autistic teen

Peyton O'Pickard, 16, of Bushnell, Florida, is missing.

The Sumpter County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in its search for a missing Florida teenager.

Authorities say Peyton O'Pickard, a 16-year-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes, is autistic and non-verbal. He was last seen walking away from his home in Bushnell, Florida, wearing only black underwear or boxers.

Peyton O'Pickard, 16, was last seen leaving his home in Bushnell, Florida. Authorities are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Sumpter County Sheriff's Office or 911.

In a Facebook post Tuesday morning, Sumpter County officials noted that “a significant law enforcement presence remains in the C-575 (Florida State Road 575) area and wider surrounding areas.”

O' Pickard is approximately 5'7″, weighs 120 pounds and has a burn scar on his right leg. Bushnell is located approximately 50 miles north of Tampa and 50 miles west of Orlando.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Sumpter County Sheriff's Office at (352) 793-2621.
