Fire Rescue: Large brush fire contained after prompting home evacuations in Osceola County

Several homes had to be evacuated after a brush fire was reported Friday in Osceola County. Osceola County firefighters said the fire was approximately 400 acres and located near Crab Grass Road and Harris Road. The fire is now under control, firefighters said. Osceola firefighters said the fire destroyed a vehicle, a shed and three RVs, but no injuries were reported. Crews from Osceola, Orange and Brevard counties, as well as the Florida Forest Service, were at the scene of the fire. According to the Osceola County Fire Department, the brush fire occurred in a remote area. There are currently no further details on what caused the bushfire.
