Lake Lewisville drowning victim identified

A man who drowned in Lewisville Lake earlier this month has been identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office. This is the second drowning at the lake in less than a week.

Police said Cedric Johnson, 27, jumped from a boat near Westlake Park on June 1 and never returned to the surface. Crews found his body several hours later, just 25 feet from shore.

The medical examiner listed Johnson's cause of death as accidental drowning. He was not wearing a life jacket at the time.

In late May, a 19-year-old also drowned in Lake Lewisville when he jumped from a boat while not wearing a life jacket.
