Lake Forest shooting in Daphne leads to 3 arrests (police)

DAPHNE, Ala. (WKRG) — Three juveniles have been arrested in connection with a shooting that sent a 16-year-old to the hospital, according to the Daphne Police Department.

A DPD news release says a 17-year-old and two other juveniles were arrested after police investigated the incident at a swimming pool on Montclair Loop in the Lake Forest subdivision.

The investigation began after a 16-year-old boy showed up at the hospital around 1 a.m., according to the release.

SHOOTING LOCATION:

During the investigation, police learned that a 17-year-old pulled out a handgun and fired shots, hitting the 16-year-old in the arm.

The alleged incident occurred after two groups of minors met at the pool to fight over insults on social media, according to Daphne police.

The 17-year-old was charged with first-degree assault, News 5 has learned.

Two other juveniles were arrested on drug charges during the investigation, according to the release.
