Lake Berryessa shooting and stabbing: Victim identified as Andres Fabian Sandoval Garcia of Vallejo, suspect to be jailed

NAPA COUNTY, Calif. (KGO) — The victim of a fatal shooting at a popular North Bay recreational area has been identified.

The Napa County Sheriff's Department said Andres Fabian Sandoval Garcia, 39, of Vallejo, died from a gunshot wound after a fight between two groups of people Saturday.

Napa authorities say after the suspect shot Garcia, he fled the scene but was later arrested.

The suspect, who was not identified, was one of three people injured by stabs or punches, and one of two people flown to hospital.

The suspect remains in the hospital and will be booked into the county jail later this week.

The authorities will then release his name and photo.
