The Napa County Sheriff's Office has arrested and charged a suspect believed to be responsible for the murder of a Vallejo man during a fight at Lake Berryessa on June 8.

According to department officials, Gabriel James Chavez, 25, of American Canyon, was arrested and charged with murder after witnesses picked him out of a lineup.

Napa County Sheriff's Office officials confirmed Sunday that Andres Fabian Sandoval Garcia, 39, of Vallejo, was fatally shot during a “large and chaotic” fight that broke out in the day-use area of 'Oak Shores around 5:30 p.m. on June 8. others, including Chavez, were also injured and taken to area hospitals by air ambulance with injuries from the fight, ranging from stab wounds to punches.
