Lafayette County Sheriff: June 2, 2024

May 18:

● 7:01 a.m. A deputy responded to the RD of Yellowstone Church, Blanchard Township, to keep the peace.

● 5:34 p.m. Blanchardville firefighters and emergency medical services responded to CTH H, Blanchard Township, following a vehicle rollover. Gavyn M Loomis, 18, of Blanchardville was traveling eastbound on CTH H in a 2014 Ford when he lost control of his vehicle, entered the ditch, struck a fence and overturned. Loomis refused EMS response and his vehicle was towed from the scene with serious damage.

May 19

● 9:39 a.m. A deputy responded to Yellowstone Church RD in Blanchard Township for a robbery.

● 10:28 a.m. A deputy responded to W Mound View AV in the Village of Belmont for a minor two-vehicle accident.

● 10:41 a.m. A deputy responded to Mitchell Hollow RD, Belmont Township, for criminal damage.

● 12:01 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH D, Wayne Township for suspicious activity.

● 7:21 p.m. A deputy responded to Cub Hollow RD, Monticello Township for a theft.

● 7:28 p.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County Emergency Medical Services responded to CTH F, Fayette Township, for an ATV accident. WI DNR is handling the accident investigation.

● 7:36 p.m. South Wayne Fire and First and Green County EMS responded to CTH D, Wayne Township, for an ATV accident. Josue Salazar, 32, Belvidere, Illinois was riding eastbound on the Cheese County Trail on a 2005 Arctic Cat ATV when he lost control and entered the ditch. Salazar was transported with minor injuries and the ATV was driven from the scene with minor damage.

May 20:

● 4:52 a.m. David J Ernst, 58, of Cuba City, reported hitting livestock on CTH X, Elk Grove Township. No injuries were reported. Ernst's 2019 Mitsubishi suffered disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
