Kyler Recognized as PGE Teen of the Year | News, Sports, Jobs

Sheffield High School Graduate Tapped as Pennsylvania General Energy CEO “Teenager of the year.”

The award, presented to Chase Kyler, also comes with a $5,000 cash prize.

“Throughout the school year, for 12 weeks, teenagers were selected each week and honored as “Teen of the Week” with recognition,” Rachel Anderson, a member of PGE's Human Resources and Corporate Giving Committee, said.

“At the end of the program, one teenager was finally selected for the”Teen of the year,” she added. “After much deliberation by PGE committee representatives, Chase was selected for this award not only for his excellence in academics and athletics, but also for his commitment to community and hard work.

“While being an exceptional student, he also volunteers with the Cherry Grove Fire Department, works two jobs and was an active Eagle Scout and captain of the Sheffield wrestling team.”

Kyler plans to attend Thiel College in the fall to study exercise science.
