KSP is still looking for an “armed and dangerous” man and an identified accomplice

CYNTHIANA, Ky. (LEX 18) – Police continue to search for a wanted man from South Carolina who was last seen in central Kentucky. Police recently identified his accomplice and a Cynthiana resident said he would do anything to protect his family.

Logan Miller and his wife lived on the East Coast before moving their entire lives to Cynthiana, Kentucky in February 2024.

The Millers purchased several acres of land with the intention of farming and caring for their horses while building a forever home.

“We moved here to get away from the harsh weather up north and we came down from the north,” Miller said. “We love the small, rural, quaint area.”

Until yesterday, when the US Marshals and Kentucky State Police announced they were looking for Nathan Ginter, 43, from South Carolina. Ginter was last seen camping in a farmer's yard in Cynthiana with his accomplice, Riley Pearson.

Nathan Ginter, 43, is wanted by the U.S. Marshal for unlawful conduct toward a child.

Ginter was found guilty of failure to appear in court and unlawful conduct of a child. According to his warrant, “Ginter tortured his young child using simulated drowning and the use of a Taser.” He is considered armed and dangerous.

“Helicopters, planes were circling around. It was unsettling, and then I go online and search and sure enough, there's a fugitive wanted in South Carolina,” describes Miller, who says they started filming in circles Tuesday morning for almost four hours. “It's been a little scary here. I can promise you, if there's anyone on this farm, we'll take care of them.”

Miller says that with so many outbuildings in the area, he makes sure to “keep an eye on some outbuildings, checking them to make sure no one is hiding there.”

“You kind of have to fend for yourself here. You know, 911 isn't just around the corner. 911 doesn't come in three minutes. A lot of things can happen in three to five minutes, you so you have to be prepared,” Miller said.

If you think you see Ginter, don't approach him. Call your local police or US Marshal immediately.
