Korean influencer identified as body found in Cambodia's Kandal province

June 12> – Korean influencer Ahyeong has been identified as the woman whose body was recently found in a pond in Phnom Penh.

Earlier, it was reported that the body of a Korean woman was found dead, wrapped in a red cloth, in a small town in Kandal province by local villagers. It was later revealed that she was the AfreecaTV influencer, who had traveled to Cambodia.

Two Chinese suspects who ran a medical clinic in the area were arrested and said they abandoned the woman's body after she had convulsions and died while receiving treatment at their clinic two days ago previously.

Cambodian police are still waiting for the autopsy report, while Korean police have called for a thorough investigation.

Ahyeong, who has over 250,000 subscribers on the streaming platform as a BJ (broadcast jockey), announced his retirement last year.
