Kootenai County Sheriff's Office Arrests Escaped Juvenile – Dailyfly

(Post Falls, ID) – On June 25, 2024, at approximately 12:20 p.m., detectives with the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office were conducting follow-up investigations regarding the 06/21/2024 escaped juvenile from the District 1 Juvenile Detention Center (JDC). .

During their follow-up, a detective observed Caden J. Schreibeis entering a residence located in the 3000 block of Mountain View Road in Post Falls, Idaho. Detectives and Kootenai County Sheriff's Patrol deputies, including a K9, gave Schreibeis a verbal command to leave the residence. Schreibeis complied with these orders and was arrested without incident.

Schreibeis was incarcerated at JDC for conspiracy to commit escape and escape.

On June 21, 2024, at approximately 5:33 p.m., the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office and Coeur d'Alene Police received a report that two juveniles had escaped from the Kootenai County Juvenile Detention Center. Both agencies immediately began searching for the two young males. One of them was located in the district of 4th Street and Gregory Lane by Coeur d'Alene Police. The other was last seen running north from the juvenile detention center across Dalton Avenue.

The exceptional juvenile was identified as 15-year-old Caden J. Schreibeis. He is described as 5'09″, approximately 150 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and blue sweatpants.

The other minor found was booked for wounding in a penal institution, conspiracy to commit escape and escape. He was arrested without incident.
