A Kingston woman is facing three criminal charges after being indicted for her alleged role in a crash that injured a police officer in March. A Kingston woman is facing three criminal charges after being indicted for her alleged role in a crash that injured a police officer in March.

Melissa Macmullin, 43, faces charges including driving while intoxicated and second-degree assault.

Prosecutors say she crashed into a police car parked near Exit 23 of Interstate 93 in New Hampton.

Court documents show Macmullin had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit.

At the time of the accident, the officer was summoning another driver who was going more than 100 miles per hour.

Police said the patrol car spun around, struck the other vehicle in front of it and was pushed forward during the crash.

Macmullin was not injured, but the officer suffered non-life-threatening head trauma.
