Kentucky police search for missing baby in Ohio County

Miya Reynolds was last suspected of being in her parents' custody; however, authorities said she could not be found during welfare check.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky State Police (KSP) are searching for a missing 8-month-old baby in Ohio County.

KSP said it opened an investigation into the disappearance of a child Thursday after a search warrant and welfare check on Miya Tucker of Reynolds Station was conducted.

Police said officers arrested and charged the missing baby's mother, Tesla Tucker, 29, with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia and abandonment of a minor.

She is currently incarcerated at the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.

Cage Rudd, 30, was also arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and abandonment of a minor.

He is also incarcerated at the Daviess County Detention Center.

Miya is described as having brown hair and green eyes. She was last suspected to be in the care of her parents, Tesla and Rudd; however, authorities said she could not be found during welfare check.

KSP is asking anyone with information regarding the missing child to contact them immediately at (270) 826-3312.
