Kentucky Medical Examiners Office, Forensic Team Joins Search for Missing Infant Miya Rudd | Kentucky

OHIO COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — Kentucky State Police officials say efforts continue Friday to find a missing 8-month-old child in Ohio County.

According to KSP, members of the Kentucky Medical Examiners' Office and forensic investigators were in Ohio County Friday morning, along with numerous K9s, to assist in the investigation into the disappearance of 8-month-old Miya Rudd.

KSP says detectives and examiners will be working on the home and property on Hardin Lane in the Reynolds Station community that was searched Tuesday. They say K9s are assigned to a handful of nearby search areas.

On Thursday, it had been a week since KSP announced the search for the missing child, but no development has been recorded so far on her whereabouts.

Eight people have been charged in this investigation so far, including the child's mother, father, paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents.

Most recently, authorities said they charged Brodie Payne for his role in the illegal drug operation organized at the Rudd residence. Payne was previously arrested in May after authorities said they intercepted packages containing methamphetamine and fentanyl.
