Ray, 25, was found guilty of causing the death of Landry Anglin, 13, who was struck by a single stray bullet through the window of his grandparents' home in South Highlands on May 1, 2022 .

Prosecutors said a shooting involved individuals in multiple vehicles, including Ray.

During the trial, jurors heard testimony from witnesses including the victim's family, members of the Shreveport Police Department and Texas law enforcement. The prosecution also produced evidence proving that Ray was affiliated with a gang.

After the shooting, Ray fled to Arlington, Texas, where he was arrested by U.S. Marshals. He owned the KelTech rifle that was identified by the North Louisiana Crime Lab as the weapon used in Anglin's murder.

Ray is scheduled to return for sentencing on July 16, 2024. The sentence for second-degree murder is mandatory life without the possibility of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
