Kantara heroine files defamation complaint

Sapthami Gowda, the Kannada actress known for her role in the hit film 'Kantara', has filed a lawsuit against new hero Yuva Rajkumar's wife Sridevi following defamatory allegations of an affair. The actress filed a defamation suit seeking damages of Rs 10 crore and a public apology from Sridevi.

Earlier, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar's brother's son Yuva Rajkumar made headlines after his divorce dispute became public. The controversy began when Sapthami Gowda was named in Sridevi's divorce petition from Yuva Rajkumar, alleging that the hero's affair with the heroine of his debut film 'Yuva' led to the collapse of their married life. Sapthami Gowda denied the allegations, stating that she was never romantically involved with Yuva Rajkumar.
