Kansas teenager dead after being shot multiple times in Lawrence

LAWRENCE (KSNT) – Lawrence police say a local teen is dead following an overnight shooting Thursday.

The Lawrence Police Department announced on social media that officers were called around 1:15 a.m. June 13 to the 2400 block of Alabama Street on reports of shots fired. Officers arriving on scene found a teenager suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and began lifesaving efforts until paramedics arrived.


Lawrence police began searching the scene as witnesses and family members gathered following the shooting. The 17-year-old shooting victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim is identified as Isaiah Neal of Lawrence.
