Kansas City man convicted of drug trafficking conspiracy

A Kansas City man has been convicted in federal court of a drug trafficking conspiracy. Keith A. Clevenger, 51, will be imprisoned for the next 16 years. Clevenger pleaded guilty in 2023 to conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with intent to distribute and admitted to purchasing approximately 1.2 kilograms of methamphetamine from a co-conspirator. Court documents say Clevenger was stopped by police and fled the scene on foot during a traffic stop near Truman and Home Road. Authorities found 25.7 grams of pure methamphetamine and a .40 caliber Glock pistol in the vehicle.
